That makes Denali State park about half the size of Rhode Island, a state in the United States of America. this vast park is quite close to Anchorage and is located in the Alaskan and Talkeetna mountain ranges.
America’s highest mountain peak is also home to Denali State Park. Towering over the park at 20,320 feet it is a massive mountain highly sought after by many in the mountaineering and climbing community as well as photographers and mountain lovers alike.
Hiking is well met with many forested alpine trails spread out across the park. Roadside camping is also abundant in many areas and its accompanying lowland streams and alpine tundra. Close by is the much larger Denali National Park and Preserve which was formerly called Mt. McKinley National Park.
